Who do you trust more: The media or President Trump?  Would you even believe the results?

Re-claiming an image is a difficult task.  Ask star athletes that misbehave and then spend millions of dollars on public relations gimmicks to try to salvage their image.  It’s not necessary. The best way to restore an image is to stop misbehaving and maintain the new standard.

The media has an image problem and it is a dangerous thing for all Americans.  We have a chicken and egg scenario.  Which came first: The media’s attacks on President Trump or President Trump’s attacks on the media? The answer will vary based on your ideological viewpoint.

President Trump has spent a great deal of time delegitimizing the media.  He is good at it but, in truth, he did not far to go to ruin an image on a downward spiral for decades.  The media earned its poor reputation by the way it mistreats the truth.  It is a biased medium intent on imposing its will on readers versus objective reporting.

Likewise, the media is on a mission to delegitimize President Trump.  The media’s attempt to delegitimize President Trump only helps his narrative about it being biased.  I cannot say I blame those in the media for wanting to stick it to President Trump by the way he treats some of them but it is not an innocent bystander in this mess.

President Trump legitimately won the election.  Whether you accept him as your president is a matter of opinion, not fact.  You are entitled to your opinion but you are not entitled to impose your opinion on others.  The media is entitled to its opinion but on the Editorial pages and talk shows on TV and radio.

It should not editorialize in news articles or news broadcasts.

The stupidity of how many people attended the inauguration is all the evidence we need about the media’s mission to destroy President Trump and his thin skin. Who cares if more people attended President Obama inauguration?

I’d rather have a poorly attended inauguration and a better economy any day.  I am no longer in high school where my self-worth is measured on a popularity quotient.  I want a president who will lead America back to greatness and away from the past eight years that saw an Apologist in Chief weaken our nation.

However, America needs the media.

We need the media to do its job right.  A strong, accurate and truthful media will help Americans keep President Trump true to his promises.  A media with the image it has today gives President Trump a “Get out of jail free” card.

That cannot happen because then his detractors’ worst fears will come true.  A person left unchecked will try to get as much as he or she can.  It’s human nature.

But the media needs an image overhaul.  It needs to make a concerted effort and consciously focus on re-establishing our faith in its ability to do the job right.  It can only do that by reporting news as it actually occurs and not as editors or producers want it to appear.

Save the opinions for the editorials. Get rid of the agendas and just do the job right.  If it does than President Trump has no easy way out of his decisions and actions.  He’ll try but we will believe the media more.

Right now I believe President Trump more than the media.  I am not a Trump supporter, but he has proven to be more accurate and truthful than the media.

If that statement doesn’t terrify my friends in the media than I don’t know what will!

What if the dream came true and it’s more about content than color?

Perhaps the dream came true after all.  It seems race relations have taken a precipitous decline the past eight years. The popular refrain is to blame President Obama for the sad turn of events but that is too simplistic. Everyone is at fault and it has nothing to do with the color of skin.

Maybe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. got his wish.  I do not think most people judge others by the color of their skin.  I think we judge others on the content of their character and therein lies the issue.

We expect riots and protests every time a white police officer shoots and kills a black person.  In most of those cases, the black person was committing a crime, had committed a crime, or menacingly ignored the police directive putting the officer in peril.  In each of those scenarios, I suspect the content of their character had more to do with the incident than the color of their skin.

In some cases, a black person was killed by a racist white police officer.  Again, that has more to do with the content of that police officer’s character than the content of their skin. The same goes for black police officers who kill black people and white police officers that kill white criminals.

There are organizations actively promoting intentions to form blockades and disrupt the inauguration on January 20.  They giddily talk about preventing people from attending the inauguration.  I’d say that warped sense of social justice is directly related to the content of the organizers’ character and not the color of their skin.

Filmmaker Joss Whedon recently sent a disgusting Tweet hoping for the violent death of House Speaker Paul Ryan referring to the style of death depicted in his Tweet as funny.  I think that aptly displays his character.

It’s strange, but it appears intolerance has increased during a time when everyone is preaching tolerance.  As I understand it, tolerance is a two-way street that requires both sides to tolerate the other’s perspective.

Militant homosexuals march and scream for the public to boycott those businesses that disagree with gay marriage. Likewise, militant heterosexuals attempt to do the same to businesses owned by homosexuals. Why not simply go to a business that matches your ideology and give others the same courtesy?

It seems like an obvious solution but militants have an agenda and it’s usually not an altruistic one. Liberals are pushing people to boycott any business affiliated with Donald Trump.  Why? What purpose does it serve?  Do these idiots really think this action will change the way people vote in the future?  It is anyone’s right to exercise free speech but it seems like the children are holding their breath again.

Today’s society is a whirlwind of dichotomies.  We connect with friends electronically while in the company friends in the same room. We hear but do not listen. We see but do not comprehend. We speak without thinking and write without reading.

We protest for the sake of protesting and usually do not understand the issue we are protesting. We are eager to attack the messenger while disregarding the message.  We hate faster than we love and argue quicker than we empathize.

How is any of that related to the color of our skin?  It has everything to do with the content of our character.

Those against Trump are judging him like they judge themselves

I did not watch the Golden Globes nor do I watch any of the silly awards shows.  Why would I watch a bunch of rich, out-of-touch elitists congratulate themselves but pretend to care about the common person?

If I wanted to see that I’d watch Congress when it’s in session.

It’s hard to miss the buzz about Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech, well more like a front for an attack on President-Elect Donald Trump.  I won’t waste my time commenting directly about her views because I don’t care what she thinks.  And that’s the part most elitists miss.  No one cares what they think except their sycophantic friends and impressionable millennials still trying to get out of their parent’s house.

How funny is a room full of coddled, privileged, millionaires who play pretend for a living whining they are victims?  Everyone sees the ridiculousness of that vision except the elites in the room.

I wonder whether the idiots in Hollywood are that out of touch with reality or, much like their jobs, it’s simply an act.

Streep gave the media a pep talk and implored them to “safeguard the truth.”  Why would it start defending the truth now?  The media is not and has not been truthful since its inception.  I’ll keep it simple and write in ways she can understand: watch Citizen Kane.

Streep’s inference is that a Trump presidency would be anti-press.  It’s no secret there is no love lost between the media and Trump but has she looked at how President Obama has treated the media?  Has she forgotten the Department of Justice under President Obama seized phone records of journalists critical of the administration?  Is she not aware that same Justice Department deemed it criminal for reporters to talk to a whistleblower and report on the information?

The Democrats love to portray Trump and his “basket of deplorables” as racist and lament the damage he may do to race relations. Are you kidding me?  Can you say Trayvon Martin?  Henry Louis Gates?  Michael Brown?  In all these and similar cases President Obama’s actions and words stoked the fires of racism.

Obama’s grandmother is white and he called her a “typical white person” who has fears about black men during the 2008 campaign.  Who exactly is damaging race relations?  How ironic will it be if race relations actually improved under a Trump presidency?  It can’t be much worse than it is now after eight years of what seems like a racist president.

Maybe Streep needs a refresher course on the time President Obama secretly used drones to kill Americans in foreign lands.  Wasn’t it Hillary Clinton, her hero, who suggested a drone strike against Julian Assange?

Make no mistake, I’m sure Trump will do stupid things while in office.  They all do and the press should report on everything he does but I doubt the media will be remotely fair in its coverage. And by fair, I do not mean agreeing with him or treating him with kid gloves. I mean objective reporting with no editorializing in the news article.

Trump is a thin-skinned bully so he’ll claim he’s being attacked regardless if it’s true or not.  However, the media bias against him actually compels people to support him because we all see the bias.

It seems to me everything the elites accuse Trump of being and doing they do and are themselves.

Imaginary friends as children; social media as adults

My morning routine at work is symptomatic of the lies we partake on social media.  I go on Twitter and LinkedIn and blindly like or re-share my colleagues posts.  I don’t read them I just like them.

Why?

Because the company I work for – like all companies – wants to trend. Upper management “suggests” we be good corporate citizens and support our colleagues. The goal is to appear more popular than reality dictates.  It is no different than what we do in our daily lives.

I watch and listen to teenagers and pre-teens talk about how many likes a certain post received.  They talk about their streaks on Snapchat or what they put on Finsta.  They “accomplish these feats of marvel by asking their friends to like or re-post their pictures or words of wisdom.  None of the achieved status is real but we convince ourselves it means something.

Like awards ceremonies.  The Hollywood elites spend a great deal of time self-congratulating themselves for mostly imagined accomplishments.  Big woop, an actor got a viewer to cry and that gives them license to pontificate on all things politics in their acceptance speeches.  Get real.  Oh wait, it’s Hollywood – nothing is real.

In reality, our social media status is more about trends and manufactured likes, comments and buzz and less about the actual purpose of social media.  I always thought it was a great way to communicate – in a strange way, a throwback to the past when the written word meant something.

The medium gives us an opportunity to stay in touch with family and friends that otherwise get lost in the shuffle of life.  Unfortunately, it’s not about staying in touch but about how many followers we can claim.  In most cases, we seldom know who all our followers are at a given time.

It’s smoke and mirrors.

Then we wonder why we live in a society where no one believes what we read, what we hear, or one another. I think it all begins when our parents come clean about Santa Claus.  Think about it.  The first big lie we learn as children– other than that stork story – is the biggest day of the year is a lie.  From a commercial point of view, not religious.

We know politicians are lying when their lips are moving.  We know the media is a biased joke that cannot be trusted.  No one believes what they read or hear in advertisements. We barely believe each other.  In fact, we are becoming conditioned to expect the opposite of everything we hear and see.

How many times have we heard a person is “too good to be true?” We question intent and assign motives to everything and everyone.

The sad irony is we all just want to be connected with one another.  We look for meaningful relationships, dialog, and true friends.  But we fool ourselves into believing we attained that nirvana by manufacturing it ourselves. How is that any different than the imaginary friends we had as children?

No one is perfect, accept responsibility and move on

There comes a time when you need to take responsibility for your actions and be held accountable.  This is a lost art.  We simply make excuses for our behavior and typically blame someone else or society.

How is society responsible for your behavior?  Some people are dealt a raw hand but rising above the tide should be encouraged.  This is one facet of Liberals that drives me nuts. The Liberal philosophy in theory is not for me but I can understand the premise.

The Liberal practice – especially as employed in today’s “not me” society – is maddening.

Mariah Carey blames everyone but herself for her New Year’s Eve debacle onstage.  Let’s put aside the fact she did not do a sound check but she didn’t even know the words to her own song. Heck, the audience knew the words better to her song than she did.

Rather than accept responsibility for not preparing properly, she launches an attack on the production company. Her diva attitude is typical of the elites.

Hillary Clinton blames the Russians and leaked e-mails for her loss to president-elect Donald Trump.  She also blames James Comey.  Democrats have conjured numerous “reasons” for her loss.

Not once has she or her entourage accepted the truth.  It was the content of the e-mails that sank her campaign.  I do not ever recall the media pointing out Deep Throat was leaking confidential information.  It ran with the information as investigative journalism.

The political and media elites blame dumb Americans for voting for Trump.  Will it ever dawn on them that perhaps the failed policies of the past eight years could have anything to do with the American public unrest?

President Obama rationalizes he could have won a third term by articulating “the message.” Why is “Making America Great Again” code for white supremacy but “articulating the message” is not considered code for minority revolution?

Obama repudiates the election results and constantly touts his popularity.  He conveniently forgets to mention his party has lost 1,042 legislative seats during his tenure.  It’s great to be popular but he appears to be a huge liability to his party.

I’m Catholic and believe the last person who was perfect died on a cross.  Most of us are hoping old age does us in.  No one is perfect.  We make mistakes.  There is nothing wrong with saying “Yep, I messed up.”  In fact, most successful people are able to admit their mistakes and move on.

These apologists and revisionists are only fooling themselves.  The rest of us see right through them and I am hoping all future election results continue to redefine what we want in our leaders.

I also hope Trump learns from the lessons of his predecessor.  He needs to stop blaming others and start accepting reality.

The fault lies not in our stars but in ourselves

I’m sure it will be a matter of days before we start reading reports the Electoral College was overrun by Russian spies.

I believe people should be accountable for their actions.  Whether they are good and bad or are right or wrong. For me, the last person who was perfect died on a cross.  I’m looking for old age.

If two people argue both people are to blame.  At work, if a manager needs to fire an employee or the employee quits, the manager also failed.  It means the manager not put the employee in a position to succeed. The same is true if a player on a team struggles.  The coaches share the responsibility.  You get the picture.

I have little tolerance for people who make excuses, blame others, or subscribe to the vast conspiracy against them.  In short, I have little tolerance Liberals.  The Liberal philosophy taken in its purity is fine – I just do not believe in it but I understand the premise.

I do not understand the way Liberals think.

Their behavior since November 8 is Exhibit A.  At first, it was contesting the vote count.  That’s why Hillary Clinton lost.  The voting machines were hacked.  That didn’t work so it was the Russians who stole the election for President-elect Donald Trump.

When that fell on deaf ears, the reason she lost was because Trump inspired the white angry man vote.  Why is it noble when 95 percent of black voters vote for President Obama but racist when 59 percent of white voters vote for Trump?

Then we had to listen to the Faithless Elector bull for the past two weeks.  Let’s see how the Liberals explain Clinton losing five electors and Trump losing two.  Was it a vast Right Wing conspiracy again?

I cannot say I am surprised.  The term “faithless” seems more appropriate for Liberals.

What will it take for Liberals to finally admit they lost?  They can get their participation trophy at the door but they lost.  And the loss is well-deserved as demonstrated by their behavior since the election.  We hear nothing but excuses, blame, and rationalizations.  They point to everything and everyone but themselves.

At what point do they finally look in the mirror and admit the majority of the country does not want the status quo?

After eight years of policies that weaken America abroad, weaken the economy domestically, and dampen the American spirit it is time to make America great again.  Perhaps that sentiment is more than a slogan.  Perhaps it captures the mood of Americans and shows that someone in authority actually understands the plight of the common person brought on by terrible policies.

What more evidence do the Liberals need when the majority of the states and counties voted for Trump?  Clinton won the popular vote by 2.6 million votes that should not be ignored by those in Washington.  However, when you look at the state-by-state results Clinton won New York and California by a combined 6,002,850 votes.

What Liberals need to understand is the other 48 states are also part of the country.  After being ignored for too many years, the people rose up and sent a message.

If Liberals hope to get a seat at the adult table in the next election cycle, they need to get rid of the elitists and be re-acquainted with real Americans.

It starts with acknowledging the obvious.  The reason we will inaugurate Donald Trump president is he offered a solution and Liberals offered more of the same.  Perhaps it was not because he inspired the worst in us.  Perhaps it is because he inspired us.

The media should watch A Clockwork Orange to figure out why they can’t win

Is the media a Clockwork Orange? I am not referring to the book or the movie – although that also applies – but the object.  A Clockwork Orange is an organism that looks beautiful on the outside but is nothing more than a mechanical toy that is wound up.

The media has been declining for years in status and the content it delivers.  A combination of technology and a poor product is speeding the decline.  It now finds itself at the crossroads and I’m hoping the current iteration becomes road kill.  I much rather prefer objective journalists that simply covers the news. Unfortunately, those bastions of the press are long gone.

The second stringers are long on ego and arrogance and short on style and prose.  They are so full of hubris they cannot phantom people no longer liking or trusting them.  We all know how much the media loves polls. Well, a recent Gallop poll found public trust in journalists has hit a new low.

The daily skirmishes between the media and President-elect Donald Trump are not helping the media improve its image and getting ridiculous.  The media just does not get it.  It seems most people hate the media more than Trump.

Trump benefited from a large number of his 60 million votes hating Hillary Clinton more than him and now he’s getting a pass with the media.  And most members of the media either do not comprehend or cannot accept they are Trump’s Teflon.

Nothing the media says or does will stick to Trump because we do not like, trust, or respect the media.  It’s plain for most people to see but the media are too full of themselves to figure it out.

The media does not realize or ignores how offended we are by its biased coverage and not simply the over-the-top hatred it has for Trump.  For years, the media has spoon fed us the narrative it wanted versus the actual story.  The WikiLeaks information proved what everyone already knew about the media. The arrogance that it did nothing wrong is what insults most people.

And true to form the media is focusing on bogus stories involving Russian spies rather than apologizing for its bias.  That is like saying the story of Watergate was about people breaking into the hotel versus the information it revealed.  Rather than focus on the content of the leaked information, the media focused on the hacking.  The disingenuous coverage angered us even more.

The stupid logic that it was the media’s obligation to save us from ourselves by lambasting Trump each day while allowing Hillary Clinton to skate by without a single challenge is laughable.

News flash: Most Americans do not like being told what to do, how to think, or how to act.  We are Americans and prefer our freedom to be our own.

Back to A Clockwork Orange the book or movie.  The main character is a despicable person who goes on a crime spree.  The audience hates this man. He ends up in jail and agrees to participate in an experimental aversion therapy study to rid him of his violent tendencies.

As it unfolds, the main character becomes the victim in a number of atrocities and the audience begins to rally around him.  Much like today’s media, society in A Clockwork Orange became more despicable than the antagonist who then became likable.

We have a flawed president-elect that should have gone the way of Gary Hart.  The media tried so hard to get him.  It also looked the other way so often for Clinton’s transgressions it made Linda Blair’s head turn in The Exorcist seem a quarter turn.  We saw the inherent unfairness in its coverage and that made Trump more likable to us.

I must admit I am enjoying the turn of events and glad the media is finally getting a dose of reality.  If members of the media were smart it should simply wait and bide its time.  There will come a time when the public tires of trump’s bombastic antics and the tables will turn.

While waiting for the inevitable, the media can take stock of itself and learn from its mistakes.  It will never do it – most arrogance is unfounded and everlasting. Above all else, it needs to learn the meaning of the word objective.

Another day, another attempt to steal the election

Perhaps Liberals need to attend You Lost the Election Anonymous and go through a 12 step program to deal with their loss?

I doubt they ever will. A 12-step program involves giving up control to a higher being and most Liberals believe they are the higher being.  Is there any doubt Liberals cannot handle the truth?

The recount episode failed.  The Hamilton Electors farce will also crash and burn.  The latest entry in the “I-can’t-accept-we-lost” sweepstakes is the silliness regarding the Russians stealing the election for President-elect Donald Trump.  In October President Obama mocked Trump saying there is “no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even — you could even rig America’s elections…”

On the “Daily Show”, he claimed “Russia trying to influence or elections dates back to the Soviet Union.”  He then went on to critique their efforts by saying, “What they did here, hacking some emails and releasing them, is not a particularly fancy brand of espionage or propaganda.”

So.  He is saying hacking and releasing e-mails is tampering with an election.  Really?  I think tampering with an election is stuffing the ballot boxes like the 1.8 million dead people still on the voting rolls having a vote.

I do not believe President Obama thinks Russians are involved at all.  He is trying to de-legitimize Trump’s presidency much like the Republicans did with the birther nonsense when he won. I guess turnabout is fair play.

However, the mainstream media delights in any opportunity to disparage Trump. It is piling on in typical fashion by making a mountain out of a molehill.  And, once again, the media and Liberals are tone deaf to the majority of Americans who see right through the charades.

What do you think would have happened if Hillary Clinton did not steal the nomination and Senator Bernie Sanders won the general election?  I suspect the media would be fawning over a socialist in the White House.  It seems Russian interference with no evidence to support it is worse than having an actual socialist in the White House.

The hypocrisy is also laughable. In 2012, after his re-election, President Obama told Russia’s prime minister “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.” It appears he was eager to work with the Russians.

While we are strolling down Bad Memory Lane, Clinton called the 2011 Russian election, “dishonest and unfair” claiming it was rigged.  This angered Vladimir Putin who said Russia must “…safeguard ourselves from this interference in our internal affairs.”

If President Obama is enjoying turnabout as fair play is it possible Putin is practicing the same art?

The only fact we have is John Podesta’s e-mails were hacked.   Their release exposed Liberal politicians as lying, cheating bastards.  Guess what? Conservative politicians own the same distinction.

There is no proof Russians or anyone else changed the election results but the media will forward that narrative as often as possible to delegitimize Trump. Liberals will join the fray.  Republicans do the same thing to their counterparts whenever they get the chance.

Politicians are the lowest form of humanity.  Everyone knows that but politicians.  Much like I advised during the campaign, block out the noise and focus on the issues.

If you are better off in the second year of a Trump presidency, reward him by voting for the politicians he wants in office.  If you are not better off, vote for his opponents.

Time will tell.

The road of good intentions lead to a place no one wants to visit

It’s easy to make fun of millennials by calling them snowflakes and poking fun of their safe zones.  I’m guessing the original safe zones called home.  Weren’t we the ones who wanted to protect our children from the harsh realities of life?

A child gets in trouble at school and rather than take the opportunity to teach the importance of respecting an adult we marched down and complain to the school principal.  Our intentions were pure – defending our children is always well-intentioned.  But we taught our child they can get away with poor behavior because Mommy and Daddy will be there to cover.

A child is bored on a Sunday afternoon because time seems to stand still.  Their favorite TV shows are not on and “there is nothing to do.”  Rather than engage them in dialog or simply spending time with them, we turn on the X-Box, Wii or PlayStation.

A child bombarded with graphic explosions and special effects tends to get bored in a slower pace reality of a classroom.  And we wonder why kids can’t pay attention in school.  They are expecting the teacher’s head to explode or assign the next mission not drone on about dangling participles.

Children are used to instant gratification.  They are hungry and we drop everything to get them a snack.  They are tired and we leave the party so they “don’t get cranky.”  They do not like green vegetables so rather than teach them the importance of eating what is made we make excuses and bring a baggie of chicken nuggets.  Heaven forbid our precious offspring have to rough it for a day and eat something they believe is “yucky.”

Once again, we have the best of intention but our quest to make our children happy in the moment is misguided.  We may succeed at making them happy in short tern but we screw them for the long term.  Children who do not learn to delay gratification are not going to be able to function under stress.

One of my favorite lines when my children got upset at one of my decision is “I am not parenting for today, I am parenting for tomorrow.” They didn’t – and still don’t – understand the figurative sense of that line but they’ll get it eventually.

And don’t get me started on the stupidity of making sure every child gets a trophy.  There are winners and losers in competitions.  The winner of a game is not a winner in life and the same is true for the loser.  He simply won a game. Children need to fail.  That is the only way they will learn how to deal with life.

I do not mean accept failing but they need to learn how to handle failure. Children need to wake up, they need to show up, they can look up, and they always need to get up.  But they should never give up.

It’s easy to make fun of millennials for their inability to handle life.  When you are over 50 years-old, you know life has a way of humbling everyone at some point. But, at 50 years-old, you have a decade more experience than millennials have lived in their lifetime.

Who’s to blame?  That’s a trick question.  There is no one to blame.  It’s how life works.

Welcome to the old reality Mr. Government employee

At last count, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2.6 million votes garnering 48.2% of the vote.  President elect to Donald Trump received 46.6% of the vote.  Liberals and their mouthpiece, he media, believe Trump does not have a mandate.

That’s fair.  It’s also fair to note that Trump won 3,084 out of the 3,141 counties in America.  That’s 98.2% of the counties for Trump if you are scoring at home. Is that a mandate?

Does it matter?  Politicians operate on changing viewpoints depending on which party is in power.  Today, Liberals want the Electoral College abolished.  If you reverse the results, we all know the Republicans would clamor for its demise.  The next four years will feature a narrative from Liberals that Trump is an illegitimate president while Republicans tout the smallest success as historic.

That is business as usual in Washington, DC.  But can Trump change that culture?  I doubt anyone can but I am hoping Trump forgets the distractions and focuses bringing his promises to fruition.  We all know most of the promises will not happen but if he changes the political environment in Washington that will be a win.

Too many politicians take the voters for granted.  Even after Trump’s victory, politicians are refusing to admit we the people finally exercised our muscle.  For too long, they have played us for fools and we simply kept re-electing inept and immoral people.  I was never in favor of term limits but now have “evolved:  We need term limits..  I had the naïve notion most politicians had term limits because they face re-election.  I think Congress should have six, two-year terms and Senators should have two, six year terms.

They took our vote for granted and still do now.  Only a handful of them understand Trump’s rise was because of them.

I hope he follows through with building the wall but that is a tall order.  Cities with Liberal leaders are already posturing to remain Sanctuary Cities.  It’s their prerogative to run the city the way they see fit.  It’s also within the purview of Congress to withhold federal funds to cities that break the law.

Will they have the will?  If not, I suggest Trump pull a page out of President Ronald Reagan’s playbook and go around Congress to the people.  It is easier in today’s world with social media.  If I am Trump, I start naming names of every representative and Senator that votes against the wall.  I’d fill social media with their names and a note saying “If you want the wall, vote these people out of office.”

If a city disobeys the immigration law are the political leaders guilty of aiding abetting a fugitive or harboring a criminal?

I want to see if running the government like a business is feasible.

I think all Senators and Congressman must participate in the exact same medical plans and social security as their constituents. I do not think they deserve special programs.  Let them have the same plans and see if they take a cavalier attitude towards us.  Congress can purchase their own retirement plans like the rest of us Americans if they want more.

Congress can no longer vote themselves raises unless they earn it.  They can get a one percent raise only when GDP reaches five percent.  It’s time government learn what it’s like to be accountable.  It’s a quaint, old-world reality the real America understands.
